Yuchen (Mikaela) Wang is a master’s student at Tsinghua University and Johns Hopkins SAIS Dual-Degree program, studying international environmental studies and finance. She graduated magna cum laude from the George Washington University’s Elliott School. Her passion for marine sustainability led her onboard a cross-equatorial sail for oceanographic field research on coral reef ecosystems and the impacts of El Ni?o events on sea surface temperatures and salinity. She is also a certified rescue diver. As a Schwarzman Scholar, Mikaela hopes to further engage with China’s financial industry transformations that are paving the way for clean energy transitions.
