Personal Branding in the Gig Economy.Zheng yu Huang Chairman and Founder,YU Capital

2019.04.04

About the event

In a gig economy we are likely to assume different roles, across different industries throughout our lifetime. Our traditional career path of leveraging existing platforms (companies, governments, etc.) or building new platforms no longer suffice. We need to consciously and mindfully build our most important platform - our personal brand - in everything we do.

Move from a resume building mindset to a personal brand building mindset. Zheng Huang spent the last five years building a personal brand that has an audience reach of 50M in China, with 200,000 books sold, and hundreds of live events in over 30 cities.

About the speakers

Zhengyu has spent half of his 14-year professional career working in the US, and the other half in China, giving him a unique perspective on the globalization of business and finance. Zhengyu worked at Intel Corporation as a Managing Director and then served under President Obama as a White House Fellow and special assistant to the Administrator for US Agency for International Aid. In 2009, Zhengyu left Intel to found a successful financial services technology company connecting global institutional investors with opportunities in the emerging markets. The firm has eight offices in four countries, with 300 staffs and growing, and has successfully helped institutional investors raise and invest tens of billions of dollars. He has worked in over ten countries, including the US, Germany, Japan, India, and China and traveled to over 70 countries. Zhengyu was educated at Stanford University, with a M.S. in Computer Science, B.S. in Industrial Engineering, and B.A. in Economics. He also earned his MBA from Harvard Business School.
