New Journey Begins!

On a crisp early autumn day in Beijing, Schwarzman College of Tsinghua University greeted its freshmen, the 139 young talents from 36 nations aspiring to begin a brand new journey.

On August 18th, all the Schwarzman Scholars 2019 arrived in Beijing.

A welcoming ceremony was held in the morning of August 19, introducing events and activities of the orientation.

On the morning of August 21, Schwarzman Scholars 2019 participated in the grand opening ceremony of graduate students at Tsinghua University.

In the afternoon, the Academic Department walked Schwarzman Scholars 2019 through the course information, professors’ background and other pertinent questions about academic mentoring.

In the evening of the following day, Schwarzman Scholars 2019 had a fireside chat with Robert Smith, the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Vista Equity Partners.. He shared his insights on leadership and success, encouraging the students to acquire more skills, travel far and work together for a better world.

On August 23, Schwarzman Scholars 2019 went rock-climbing, their first school outing in China.
