On November 4th,  Lawrence H. Summers, former US Treasury Secretary and former President of Harvard, was appointed as a Distinguished Visiting Professor at Tsinghua University. In the future, he will offer classes at Schwarzman College. The Appointment Ceremony was held at the university’s Music Hall, where Tsinghua University President Qiu Yong presented a letter of appointment to Professor Summers. Tsinghua University Vice President Yang Bin and Qian Yingyi, Dean of the School of Economics and Management also attended the ceremony, which was presided over by David Daokui Li, Dean of Schwarzman College.
