On May 21st, 2015, Hengchang Litong Investment Management (Beijing) Co. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Hengchang) signed a donation agreement with Schwarzman Scholars at Tsinghua University.

Agreement Signing Ceremony

On the day of the donation ceremony, Tsinghua University President Qiu Yong met with Qin Hongtao, Founder & CEO of Hengchang, at the H-shaped Hall on campus. President Qiu welcomed Qin Hongtao’s visit on behalf of Tsinghua University and briefed him on Tsinghua’s history, talent cultivating, university reform and school-enterprise cooperation. During their meeting, President Qiu thanked Hengchang for the great support to Schwarzman Scholars at Tsinghua University, and wished the two sides could take this opportunity to enhance further cooperation in areas like education and social services. 

Qin Hongtao said, Tsinghua University is one of China’s top universities, and Hengchang is much honored to support the Schwarzman Scholars program, making contributions to inspire more outstanding young people with international perspectives and cross-cultural leadership skills who are well prepared for future global challenges.

Li Jiaqiang, Secretary General of Tsinghua University Education Foundation, David Daokui Li, Dean of Schwarzman Scholars at Tsinghua University, and David Pan, the Executive Dean also attended the meeting.

The agreement signing ceremony was held in a friendly and warm atmosphere. Qin Hongtao, David Daokui Li and David Pan were present. On the ceremony, Dean Li expressed gratitude for the support given by Qin Hongtao and Hengcang to the program, and introduced the latest development of the program. The two sides had in-depth discussion over the college construction, student life and innovative education initiatives of Schwarzman Scholars program.

Prior to the ceremony, Qin Hongtao visited the construction site of Schwarzman College.
