Chengkai Xie graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford, with a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, where he specialised in the political history of the United Kingdom and China. Chengkai is the first Chinese-born President of the Oxford Union, where he hosted former U.K. Prime Ministers. Chengkai is an active member of the British Chinese community. He has worked with many parliamentary candidates, especially those of Chinese origins, to achieve better political representation for the community. As a Schwarzman Scholar, he hopes to explore overseas Chinese identity as well as work towards better UK-China relations. Chengkai is from China.
